Of Regrets and Resolutions

One of my all time favorite talks! We all have times that we look back on the regrets we have. Why not make resolutions to have no regrets?  President Dieter F. Uchtdorf says it so well...

The more we devote ourselves to the pursuit of holiness and happiness, the less likely we will be on a path to regrets.

We shouldn’t wait to be happy until we reach some future point, only to discover that happiness was already available--all the time! Life is not meant to be appreciated only in retrospect. “This is the day which the Lord hath made … ,” the Psalmist wrote. “Rejoice and be glad in it.”
Brothers and sisters, no matter our circumstances, no matter our challenges or trials, there is something in each day to embrace and cherish. There is something in each day that can bring gratitude and joy if only we will see and appreciate it.

May we all throw away our regrets and form new resolutions! 2014 is a great year to change. Find joy in today. Look for the happiness in every step of your journey so you can look back on your journey with love. There are always things to be happy about. We are in charge of finding and focusing on them.
